The Man Who Walked Away From Comfort
Fifty years ago, our grandfather had a perfectly comfortable life in Gwalior. He left it anyway, to build a dal mill of his own with nothing but an idea and a lot of nerve.
Long days at the mandi, longer nights at the mill — that's what the foundation was built on. No polishing the grain, no shortcuts. Just honest quality, and the belief that if you treat people right, they'll come back. In 20 years, that one mill had grown into two factories.
Chapter 2
Initial Trading Years

This is where the business really began. A marketplace that never seemed to sleep. It's where we learned our values, our hardwork, and how to build relationships that last.
Chapter 3
The Rebuild, Second Generation

Every family business has a chapter it doesn't love talking about. Ours is this one: one big mistake, and the family was left with almost nothing.
Our father was 24 at the time. Instead of stepping back, he stepped in — no shortcuts, no compromise, just faith and hard work. He built it all back, brick by brick.

The Solum Girlies
We didn't set out to reinvent anything. We just grew up watching how a business is really built, and how real relationships are made one customer at a time. So when it was our turn, we asked ourselves a simple question: why should retailers be the only ones with a relationship with our customers?
That question became Solum and Seed. Same pulses, same obsession with quality our grandfather started with, just brought directly to you, without anyone standing in between.
